INDIANAPOLIS–A strong defensive effort by Pendleton Heights got just enough offensive support from a familiar combination Tuesday night as the Arabians blanked Lawrence North 1-0.

Junior Ethan Schitter broke a scoreless tie in the second half off an assist from senior Drew DeLey. It was the second straight game the duo combined for a score and the team-leading fourth assist of the season for DeLey.

Schitter is tied for the team lead in goals with four.

Goalkeeper Andrew Clemons made that goal stand up with several key saves down the stretch.

Pendleton Heights improved to 7-5 on the season while Lawrence North dropped to 2-8-2. The Arabians will host conference rival Mt. Vernon Thursday on their youth soccer night.

WESTFIELD–Arabian goalkeeper Shayla Meinders posted her sixth shutout of the season, and fourth in as many games, but Pendleton Heights settled for a 0-0 draw at Westfield Tuesday.

PHHS coach Mark Davy credited the back line of Leonie Wilson, Megan Green, Macy Browning, and Deisdy Rodriguez for helping post another great defensive team effort.

Pendleton Heights (10-2-1) will try to remain unbeaten in the Hoosier Heritage Conference as they host New Palestine tonight at 7 p.m.
