Garden club talks birds

LAPEL — Lapel Rural Garden Club recently met for its monthly meeting at the home of Jayne Seybert.

Refreshments were provided by President Charlene Hummel.

The roll call was answered by members telling of something for which they are thankful. There were 13 members present. The door prize of a Gerber daisy was won by Cathy Metcalf.

While discussing bird sightings, Karen Kilburn shared a tea towel gift that featured birds of Australia.

The lesson on decorating for the holidays was presented by Jayne Seybert. She likes to use little Christmas trees in her decorations.

The next meeting is the Christmas luncheon at the home of Beverly Chase on Dec. 13.
