Mary J. “Janie” Muse

Mary J. “Janie” Muse, 70, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at her residence in Frankton following an extended illness.

She was born on November 2, 1947, in Elwood, Indiana, to Robert and Doris (Gorden) Shaw.

Janie was graduated from Frankton High School in 1965.

She was employed by the Lapel Eagles where she enjoyed bartending for seven years.

Janie was formerly employed at Brockway Glass and Essex Wire.

She is survived by her special companion, Mike Murray; one child, Toby Carroll; {span}stepson, Brian Muse and stepdaughter, Kim Lillard; {/span}two grandchildren, Shawna Carroll (Terry Six) and Josh Carroll; one great granddaughter, Gracelynd; one sister, Bobbie (Don) Bouslog. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; previous husband, David Muse; son, Robert Carroll; sister, Judy Adams and brother-in-law, David Adams.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Pastor Jeff Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Perkinsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
