FISHERS — Conner Prairie living history museum recently named Pendleton native Emma Harper as director of marketing.

Harper formerly was marketing manager at Vera Bradley Design Center in Fort Wayne. She developed strategic campaigns to build brand awareness and engagement while helping streamline process and brand clarity.

At Conner Prairie, Harper will be responsible for advertising and promotional marketing efforts of the museum managing the Conner Prairie brand, including digital and graphic elements.

Harper was born and raised in Pendleton and is a graduate of Academy of Design, Chicago.

She was hired into brand management roles at firms in Chicago and Nashville, Tennessee, where she started marketing for non-profit organizations as a career and expressed her creativity as a singer-songwriter in her spare time.

Conner Prairie spans more than 1,000 wooded acres in Central Indiana and welcomes more than 400,000 visitors annually.

As Indiana’s first Smithsonian Institute affiliate, Conner Prairie offers various outdoor, historically-themed encounters and indoor experiential learning spaces that combine history and art with science, technology, engineering and math to offer an authentic look at history that shapes society.

Conner Prairie is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization — accredited by the American Alliance of Museums — that relies on grants and philanthropic donations from individuals, corporations and foundations for sustainability and growth.
