MADISON COUNTY — Macy Beeson, 13, of Lapel took part in the recent Indiana Golf Foundation Southern Junior Masters Powered by BlueGolf.

The event took place Sunday, July 8, and Monday, July 9, at the Sultan’s Run Golf Course in Jasper.

Beeson finished in 10th place out of 23 female golfers with a 78 and a 87, for a two-day total of 165, 21 over par.

Beeson also played in the Indiana Golf Foundation Age Group Championship at Purdue University Wednesday, July 4, and Thursday, July 5, during which she shot a two-day total of 78 with a 39 and 39, 6 over par, good enough for first place out of nine golfers in her age category.
