Lapel wins two of three at Jimtown invite

LAPEL — Lapel tennis had a busy week of matches and ended with the Jimtown Invitational Saturday, Sept. 8, in Chesterfield.

The Bulldogs defeated Tipton and Manchester by 4-1 scores but lost to Jimtown 3-2.

Junior Jesse McCurdy at No. 1 singles won all three of his matches, as did the No.1 doubles team of seniors Reid Razliff and Ross Hagen.

Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs fell to the visiting Marion Giants, 3-2, but won at Warren Central 4-1 and at Frankton 5-0.
