ANDERSON – A Madison County man on work release was charged with misdemeanor theft today after he was found in possession of a Personal Electronic Ballot and memory card from Madison County election equipment.

According to the Indiana State Police, an investigation began Monday when an employee at the Madison County Community Justice Center contacted ISP Pendleton District, stating they had located Madison County election equipment in the personal belongings of Tyler Pha Sink, 26, Anderson, an inmate on work release.

During an ISP investigation, it was discovered that Sink recently had access to the equipment by volunteering to help with set-up at a voting site, according to an ISP press release.
