Costumes on parade

PENDLETON — Overcast skies, chilly temperatures and drizzle didn’t scare away area ghosts, goblins, witches and more from the Pendleton Lions Club Halloween Parade on Saturday.

The parade, which included area children and their their parents and grandparents, kicked off at about 10 a.m. Participants lined up by the Pendleton Post Office, 137 W. State St., before starting the trek through town.

The colorful and enthusiastic procession ended at the big shelter house in Falls Park, where awards were given for the best costumes in each age group.
