Group offers painting classes, art show

PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society plans art classes regularly at Gallery 119 in Pendleton:

The gallery is located at 119 W. State St.

People can register at the gallery during regular hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, or by phone at 765-778-0986.

• Juried art show entries on display — The Pendleton Artists Society’s sixth annual juried art show opened Dec. 7.

The exhibit will close on Jan. 2. The gallery will be closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 1.

Pendleton Swim Club offers lessons

PENDLETON — Pendleton Swim Club plans its second session of swim lessons for this season, scheduled on six Saturdays beginning Jan. 12.

Students to Europe dinner postponed

LAPEL — Students to Europe 2019 plans a chili dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Lapel High School commons area.

It was set for Dec. 14, but the basketball game against Beech Grove has been postponed to February.

Adult meal ticket price is $7, and the student ticket price is $3.

This price includes chili with fixings, a hotdog and a drink. Desserts will also be available to purchase for $1.50.

This meal will take place before the Beech Grove boys basketball game.

People can purchase tickets in advance from any of the participating juniors at Lapel High School.

Tickets will also be available at the door.

Profits from the fundraiser will help students pay for their trip to Europe in fall 2019.
