PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights girls basketball took on a tough Fishers team and came out on the wrong end in a 48-43 loss Thursday, Dec. 13.

One things that made the loss so hard was it was a game the Arabians (8-5) had controlled soundly for the first three quarters; Fishers (8-3) outscored Pendleton Heights 20-10 in the fourth quarter to take the win.

Aubree Dwiggins had 13 points, and Kylie Davis chipped in 12.

Earlier last week, it was an offensive battle as the Arabians got an 80-79 win in overtime against the Lawrence Central Bears.

Brynn Teague hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation to send it into overtime. The Arabians were down 7 with 33 seconds left, and down 6 with 12 seconds left and did not have the ball.

But an amazing effort paid off with a great finish.

Aubree Dwiggins led the Arabians in a balanced scoring effort with 23 points, and Niyah Loomis had 22 points, while Kailyn Graham and Kylie Davis had 13 and 12, respectively. Leonie Wilson added 7, and Brynn Teague had 3 points.

The Arabians played at home Tuesday, Dec. 18, taking on Pike (after press time.)

The game was Pendleton Height’s last game prior to the Madison County Tournament which starts at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Frankton.
