Tremor Bynum (195), Cade Campbell (220), Jared Brown (126), Zach Sanford (160), Jacob Brown (170) and Clayton Todd (182) all won by fall. Derek Sikorski won by an 8-7 decision in the final seconds of the third and last period.

The Arabians play host to the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet beginning at 8:30 Jan. 19. Sectional matches begin Jan. 26 at Elwood High School.

Girls wrestle at state tournament

ARCADIA — Two Arabian girls on the wrestling team competed in the Indiana Girls Wrestling State Championships Jan. 12 at Hamilton Heights High School.

Sophomore Sarah Dix placed fifth at 126 pounds, and sophomore Gracie Addison took eighth at 113 pounds.

Six girls compete on the Pendleton Heights JV team throughout the season, and four competed at the regional at Franklin High School.

Just Dix and Addison qualified for state, but Arabian coach Dave Cloud said every girl won at least one match at the regional.

Weather causes conference delay

PENDLETON — The Hoosier Heritage Conference wrestling meet set for Jan. 12 at Pendleton Heights was postponed because of weather until 8:30 a.m. Jan. 19.

The Neil Muse Invitational at Lapel High School was canceled as well, but due to time and scheduling restraints, the meet could not be rescheduled.
