PENDLETON — United Methodist Men served about 250 meals during its fish fry Friday, June 21, at Pendleton First United Methodist Church.

“I look forward to this every summer,” said Kelly Graham, a Markleville resident who picked up drive-thru orders with husband Patrick.

“Good company, good people, good food,” he said, summing up the experience.

Much of the food is prepared in cookers outside, and the meal is served up in the church basement or boxed for pickup at the back door.

Dinners cost $5 or $10, with children 4 and younger eating free.

Proceeds from the dinner help pay for church maintenance.
