Artists, teachers featured at camp

PENDLETON — Ceramics artist Janna Ledbetter will be the featured teacher at PAS Gallery 119 Pendleton Kids Camp July 15 to 19.

Ledbetter will guide students ages 6 to 12 in creating sea creatures, pinch pots and fun mugs.

Tracy Davidson, Karen Zane and Susan Fullen will work with Teen Camp in the evening working on a challenging Native American project that includes, metal work, and sawing, piercing, riveting, hammering and natural materials.

Students ages 9 through 12 will be doing oil painting, watercolor, ink, oil pastel and acrylic painting throughout the week.

Students ages 6 through 8 will experience acrylic, watercolor and ink painting 3-D turtles made from gourds.

All students will participate in demonstrations by Chic Elbert Valazco doing torched fired bead making. Also, a large group puzzle project will take place with Katy Burke.

Other great teachers and projects will be taught by Gary Brummett, watercolor and ink; Diane Burrell, oil pastel; Judy Crist, watercolor; Gini Deaton, oil; Rita Greesaman, acrylic; Brenda Morris Jarrett and Kitty Myers, polymer clay; Sharon Robinson, mixed media; and Jerry Wymer recycling project.

Sign-up for Kids Camp costs $60 per child. A second child from the same family, living at the same address is $50.

Gallery 119 is located at 119 W. State St., Pendleton.

Registrations may be made at Gallery 119 or by phone at 765-778-0986 during regular business hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. There are no online registrations for this camp.
