PENDLETON — The annual Heroes Crit & Fit Day — which centers on the Heroes Foundation’s mission of cancer prevention — is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Falls Park, 460 Falls Park Drive, Pendleton.

Heroes Foundation is an Indianapolis-based non-profit organization that supports people with cancer as well as cancer prevention and research.

A full day of family activities is planned, centered on healthy lifestyles and wellness, and bike racing.

Cyclists of all ages will take part in several competitive criterium races, timed events in several categories arranged by gender, age and experience level.

Spectators will be able to watch the races and visit the Fit Festival, which will include vendors offering health screenings and tips on healthy living, especially as it relates to cancer prevention.

There also will be a blood drive, food vendors, children’s activities and a beer garden.
