‘Go With The Flow’ art show at gallery

PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society’s Gallery 119 art show for August, “Go With The Flow,” is a show of anything painted and is not limited to traditional paintings.

The show will run Aug. 3-31.

The First Friday, Aug. 3, will be a special showing from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres being served and an opportunity to meet the artists, visit the gift shop and learn about the gallery.

Awards will be $50 for first place, $30 for second place and $20 for third place, awarded by judge Katherine Bennett-Kester.

Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite art piece for a People’s Choice Award.

Winners of the Pendleton Artists Society’s last show were announced. Pat Kluesner was judge for the show.

Winners were: first place — Lynn Rockwell for “Magestic,” watercolor painting; second place — Aaron McDermott for “Self Portrait,” oil painting; third place — Judy Crist for “Row Boat,” watercolor painting.

People’s Choice was Mariella Axlin for “Fire,” epoxy, resin and glass.

Honorable Mentions went to Susan Fullen for “Sweet Nectar,” photography; Brenda Morris Jarrett for “How Marvelous, How Wonderful,” photography; and Gini Deaton for “Gigi,” oil painting.

Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The gallery is located at 119 W. State St., Pendleton.
