Gallery 119 announces August winners

PENDLETON — Gallery 119 recently announced the winners for its August art show, “Go With The Flow.”

First place went to Lynn Rockwell for his piece “In The Kitchen,” a watercolor. He won $50.

Second place went to Jerry Mannell for “Cold Front,” an oil on canvas garnering a $30 prize.

Judy Crist placed third for “Turtle Fun,” a watercolor, winning $20.

Judge for the show was Katherine Bennett-Kester.

The People’s Choice Award, voted on by those present at the show’s open house Aug. 2, went to Rawlin Hodge for “Tangled Up In Blue,” an acrylic. Rawlin’s piece also garnered an honorable mention.

A second honorable mention went to William Curtis Jarret for “Sunflower,” an oil painting.

The show continues through Aug. 31 at the gallery, 119 W. State St., Pendleton.

Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
