PENDLETON — South Madison Community School Corp. plans it 2020-21 kindergarten roundup for early April.

People with children who will be 5 by Aug. 1, 2020, should plan to attend the roundup at their home school, which is assigned by address. Not sure where your child will go? Call 765-778-2152.

People can jump-start the registration process and avoid long lines with “New Student Registration” online by clicking on the New Student Fastpass link through April 2.

To complete registration, people must attend roundup with their children (a kindergarten teacher will conduct a basic skills screener with each child) and also bring:

Child’s official birth certificate — must be 5 by Aug. 1, 2020

Two proofs of residency in the school district: a utility bill, such as electricity, gas, water or phone; and/or a purchase agreement, mortgage statement, rental agreement or third-party affidavit

Immunization record, doctor contact information and student medication information

Emergency contact information

Court records (custody, guardianship) and/or a copy of any IEP, if applicable

Driver’s license or government photo ID for the parent/guardian
