PENDLETON — Applications are available for the annual Open Hearts, Open Purses grant of $10,000.

Open Hearts, Open Purses is the South Madison Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle. One hundred women give $100 each, pooling their contributions toward a $10,000 grant.

The written application is the first phase of the OHOP grant cycle.

The second phase consists of finalist presentations and a vote by “OHOP” membership.

The mission of Open Hearts, Open Purses is to provide financial resources to organizations for projects that improve the lives of individuals and families in local communities, specifically those living in South Madison County, in Adams, Fall Creek, Green and Stony Creek townships.

Applications are available at SouthMadisonFoundation.org/open-hearts-open-purses and must be submitted by 4 p.m. May 1.
