Hobble Gobble

Hi, my name is Boston and I am going to tell you about the worst day of my life.

My talking dog Roxy is my best friend; we are always together.

It was a Monday morning, and I woke up to the news of a disease called the Hobble Gobble.

If you looked at the sun you would turn into an animal.

We were going to be stuck inside until a cure was discovered.

My family and I decided we were going to do a lot of activities to keep our mind off of it.

We have been cleaning, playing video games, and doing a lot of cooking and eating.

I lost track of time, and Roxy had to go outside to do her business. My mom looked at the clock in the kitchen, and it was 9 p.m. Everyone decided to go outside but me. I had to finish doing my hair.

I went upstairs to the bathroom, and I noticed the clock said 5 p.m. Oh no, the sun is still out!

I ran downstairs and noticed the clock was wrong in the kitchen. The batteries went out. I put on my sunglasses, but I was too late.

My family all turned into animals.

But, Roxy was now a human!

My brother is a cat that keeps chasing my sister, who is now a monkey in a tree. I was looking for Mom and Dad, but they were nowhere to be found. I was starting to get scared!

I finally found them in the hot tub. My mom was a clownfish, and my dad was a turtle.

Roxy and I had to find a cure, quickly. We only had till midnight or they would never turn back!

Roxy and I ran back into the kitchen to call 911.

Then the president came on TV and said they think they have a cure, but they were missing one main ingredient: It was the coconut berry found in the magical berry forest.

Once they have all the ingredients they can make the magical sunscreen that can change people and animals back. We only had till midnight; we needed to go quickly!

Roxy and I decided to take the car. It would be faster than walking, and Roxy always wanted to drive.

We knew the magical berry forest was in Lapel, Indiana.

We finally made it, but it was guarded by magical garden gnomes.

We came up with a plan: Roxy would distract the gnomes, and I would get the berries needed for the cure.

Once we got the berries we gave it to the president and his cabinet so the sunscreen could be made.

Everyone got cured except for Roxy. She liked being a human.
