PENDLETON — Pendleton Baptist Church will honor Dr. Dennis Clark for 50 years of faithful service on July 5.

Clark and his wife, Karen, came to the church in 1970. They have two children, Renée Benefiel and Bradley Clark, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Clark enjoys the systematic study and teaching of the Scripture and has modeled his ministry to reflect that passion, according to a church press release.

His ministries in the community have included: substitute teaching in the Pendleton school system, ministering to bereaved families, serving on the board of directors for the Center for Mental Health and maintaining a radio ministry for 40 years.

The celebration will begin at 10 a.m., serving light refreshments. The morning service at 10:30 a.m. will be dedicated to reflecting upon God’s blessings to the church during the past 50 years. Clark’s longtime friend Dr. Robert Parr, professor of sociology at Cedarville University, is scheduled to speak. All are welcome to attend.
