PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society recently announced the winners of its Winter Show, which continues through Feb. 3. at Gallery 119 in Pendleton.

The top three awards went to: Pat Thompson, first place, for the acrylic work “Paris”; Karen Zane, second place, for her sculpture and weaving work “Manzanita Root”; and Tamara Magers, third place, for her acrylic piece “Wish You Were Here.”

The first-place prize was $50; $30 and $20 went to second place and third place, respectively.

Magers also won the People’s Choice award with “Wish You Were Here.”

Contest judge Gary Brummet also presented Merit Awards and Honorable Mentions to several works.

Merit Awards: “Violets” by Katy Burke, oil on silk mat board; “Abstract Drawing” by Carla Corbin, fiber

Honorable Mention: “Winter Wonderland” by Judy Crist, watercolor; “Just Fluff” by Chic Elbert, acrylic; “Wishing Steps” by Pat Thompson, acrylic; “Social Distance” by Pat Thompson, acrylic

The gallery is located at 119 W. State St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
