Jacob Alan Griffard, 22, of Pendleton passed away on February 20, 2021. He was born on March 10, 1998 in Indianapolis to Greg and Laura (Wigent) Griffard.

Jacob was a senior at Ball State University, majoring in History with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He enjoyed playing and writing music, camping, hunting, traveling and creative writing. He was a loving son and brother who cherished spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Greg and Laura (Wigent) Griffard; brothers, Caleb Griffard and Jonah Griffard; grandparents, Phillip Wigent , Gordon & Carol Griffard and Great Grandmother Barbara Tutt; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lou Wigent.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson with burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, IN 46064.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Indiana Historical Society in honor of Jacob’s love of history. https://indianahistory.org/contribute/donate/
