Legends lead HHBA standings

PENDLETON — Four games into the inaugural season of the Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association, the Pendleton Legends are at the top of the league standings.

The Legends are 3-1 and have a one-half game lead versus the Southern Indiana Timberjacks, who are 2-1. The New Castle Nighthawks are 2-2 and the Terre Haute Sharp Shooters are 0-3.

Pendleton’s Kellen Dunham was player of the game on Saturday, a 102-95 win against New Castle. On Sunday, the Legends dropped their first game of the season, a 102-92 loss to the Nighthawks.

In Saturday’s win, Dunham had 27 points, including four 3-pointers. He also had six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Aaron Larson and Troy Taylor each had 14 points. Taylor also had 12 rebounds. Asauhn Tatum had 12 points.

The Legends are scheduled to play host to the Timberjacks at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Pendleton Heights High School.
