PENDLETON — Gallery 119 in Pendleton is playing host to the 5th District Congressional Art Show this month; winners were announced on opening night by Congresswoman Victoria Spartz.

Jackson Manwell, a senior at Madison-Grant Junior/Senior High School, won the competition with his piece “Champion Perspective.”

The piece will be on display in the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., for one year, along with the winning artwork from other Congressional districts across the country.

Other winners include:

Lee Ann Kao, a junior at Zionsville Community High School — first runnerup for “Trust Fall,” which will be displayed at Spartz’s Washington, D.C., office;

Dana Salavaria, a senior at Marion High School — second runnerup for “Sunsets,” which will be displayed at Spartz’s Carmel district office;

Mallory Hagerty, a junior at Lawrence North High School — honorable mention for “Finding the Light,” which will be displayed in Spartz’s Anderson district office.

The show runs through May 28 at the gallery, 119 W. State St.
