PPD captain retires

PENDLETON — Pendleton Police Department celebrated the retirement of one of its own on Friday, July 9.
Captain Randy Sidwell retired in good standing after 18 years of service in Pendleton.
“On behalf of the Pendleton Police Department, we congratulate Captain Sidwell on his retirement,” Chief Marc Farrer said in a statement. “Definitely will be missed as part of the team.”
A retirement party took place Friday night at the police station.

Sidwell started his career at Ingalls Police Department as a reserve officer in 1996, working his way up to chief. He joined Pendleton full time in June 2003, and in recent years oversaw scheduling, fleet management and the department’s computer needs.
