Artists’ group announces winners, ‘Past and Present’

PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society announced the winners of its Pendleton Past and Present Show recently at Gallery 119 in Pendleton.
Judy Crist won first place and $75 in prize money for her watercolor “Quiet Time on Fall Creek.”
Other winners included: Katy Burke, second place ($40), “House on Parker Hill,” watercolor; John Erwin, third place ($30), “Shirley Memorial Swing,” mixed media; Aaron McDermott, People’s Choice ($20), “Falls Pass Overpass,” infrared photography.

Carl Schafer from Gordy Fine Art and Framing Co. in Muncie was the judge for the event.
The show will continue through Nov. 3 at the gallery, 119 W. State St.
A show titled “Pendleton’s Art Legacy” is running concurrently at the gallery.
It features artists with strong Pendleton connections representing the town’s visual art history.
