Pendleton Lion’s Club honored Sue Patton recently as its 2020 Citizen of the Year. Citizen of the Year is awarded annually “to a non-Lion who goes above and beyond in the community,” according to information submitted to The Times-Post. “Sue is the perfect example of that. She spearheaded many of the relief efforts from the 2019 tornado and organized the tree-planting efforts in Pendleton where 300 trees were planted in one day. Sue is very active with Best Buddies and is the reason Pendleton started a Best Buddies Citizens program, an organization for adults with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). Congratulations and thank you, Sue, for all you do!”
