PENDLETON — The annual 4th at the Falls Independence Day celebration is scheduled for Monday, July 4, at Falls Park in Pendleton.
“Looking forward to a good day,” said Jack Wilson, president of Main Street Pendleton, which organizes the event. “It looks like it’s supposed to be hot and sunny, which is good — as long as it doesn’t rain.”
Food will be available starting at 4 p.m.; options will include Yummerful Ice Cream, Sigma Phi Gamma strawberry shortcake and hot dogs.
Live music is planned from 5 to 9:30 p.m.: Sara Howe and the South Bend Sound will play from 5-7 p.m.; The Cory Cox Band from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
“We’re looking forward to having Sara Howe and her band back,” Wilson said, as well as The Cory Cox Band. “Cory’s always popular around Pendleton.”
Festivities take place in the gazebo area of the park.
“Everything should be pretty much the same as last year,” Wilson said, with the exception of a power issue that took place during the Cox performance in 2021. “We think we’ve got that fixed.”
A fireworks show is set to start at 10 p.m., set off from the Sports Complex fields.
