Iron Horse competes at nationals

PENDLETON — Iron Horse Martial Arts competition team of Pendleton competed in the 2022 AAU National Taekwondo Championship at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in July.

A record-breaking 3,294 athletes were registered for this year’s AAU National Championship, breaking last year’s record numbers.

Registered athletes represented 38 states, three countries, 646 coaches and 6,125 events.

Iron Horse competitor Houston Edwards earned a grand champion in point sparring with the team, earning nine gold, seven silver and six bronze places.
