SELMA — In Sectional 40 of the Indiana High School Athletic Association volleyball state tournament, Lapel made an early exit, falling to Wes-Del.

In the opening round of play, the Bulldogs kept the Warriors on edge, but Wes-Del took the match 3-1 with scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-23 and 25-22.

The Bulldogs finished 17-11 during the regular season.

Lauren Paska led the team this season with 284 kills, followed by Elizabeth Stern with 165. Paska also had the most serving aces this season with 66.

Karlie Jannings had 560 assists to lead the Bulldogs.

Lapel will return the entire roster to action next season.
