MADISON COUNTY — State Road 28 in Alexandria — from I-69 to State Road 9 in both directions — will be closed for most of June for a small structure replacement, according to Indiana Department of Transportation contractor 3D Company Inc.

The project was expected to start this week.

The official detour for the project is northbound I-69 to eastbound State Road 26 to southbound State Road 9 to State Road 28.
