NOBLESVILLE — For two Pendleton Heights golfers, their 2023 seasons will include at least one more round on the course.
At Monday’s IHSAA Noblesville Sectional at Harbour Trees golf course, both Sam Denny and Ryan Davis advanced individually to today’s regional.
As a team, the Arabians score of 321 was five shots off of Tipton’s 316 for the final qualifying spot, and earned them fifth place.
Hamilton Southeastern won the title with a score of 292, and Noblesville was runner-up with a 304 to round out the regional qualifying teams.
Other team scores include Fishers (317), Hamilton Heights (346), Frankton (346), Lapel (352), Anderson (400), Elwood (403), Daleville (412), and Alexandria (415).
Denny’s 77 (+6) led Pendleton Heights and was the second-best individual score on non-qualifying teams. A 1-under front nine helped propel Denny to the placement.
Davis’s 79 earned him the last individual spot, just beating out Hamilton Heights Nathan Cox who finished after Davis with a round of 79.
Fisher’s Sam Keithley earned the other regional qualifying spot with a 77.
Hayden Fox and Vance Jarvis each shot 83 for the Arabians while Cohen Gray, the team’s lone senior, finished his final round with an 86.
Jacob Erwin and Bryson Hall were the low-scorers for Lapel with 87s. Tyler Lutz shot an 88 and Kaden Suchocki finished the day with a round of 90.
The regional will take place on Thursday morning at The Players Club in Muncie.
