PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society named the winners of its South Madison Art Show on Friday at Gallery 119 in Pendleton.
Dorinda Cassiday won Best in Show and the $200 top prize for her oil on board portrait piece “Meranda.”
Sara Matren won second place and $150 for her photograph “Haunted Health Care.”
Stacy Couch’s photograph “Morning Silhouettes,” was voted People’s Choice by those present at the show, garnering her a $100 prize.
Honorable Mention awards went to Alexandria Salliee for “Penelope,” paint/acrylic and water; Don Saxon for “You Can See Forever,” photograph; and Aaron McDermott for “Red Rocks of Bryce,” photograph.
Judge for the event was Ann Johnson.
The exhibit, which is made possible through the South Madison Community Foundation Arts Fund, will be on public display through Oct. 4 at the gallery, 119 W. State St., Pendleton. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
