PENDLETON — Several streets in the heart of Pendleton were shut on Friday to make way for the Pendleton Heights Homecoming Parade.
Scores of floats made their way from the staging area in Falls Park to the high school, as the route was lined with supporters waving and applauding — and scurrying for tossed candy in the case of the younger ones.

It was an outcome foretold by the class floats, including the senior one, which had a Monopoly theme and featured a young man dressed as an eagle and locked up in jail.
