INDIANAPOLIS — Pendleton resident Abby Jacobs is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2024 legislative session, State Sen. Mike Gaskill (R-Pendleton) said in a recent press release.

Jacobs graduated from Pendleton Heights High School and Purdue University with a degree in political science. Jacobs is the daughter of Dr. Brian and Susan Jacobs.

“It is always a pleasure to see young Hoosiers take an interest in the legislative process and their state government,” Gaskill said. “I am looking forward to seeing the future opportunities and connections this internship could provide Abby.”

As a legislative intern, Jacobs tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.

“As a proud Hoosier and American, I am excited to have an opportunity to serve the people of Indiana and gain first-hand experience with the legislative process,” Jacobs said.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by March 14.
