INGALLS — Third Avenue east of Meridian Street was closed to vehicle traffic for Ingalls Spring Block Party on Saturday, where people could stroll through vendor booths and receive a free hot-dog lunch, and children had the chance to jump around bounce houses and other inflatables.
In addition to merchandise booths, there were others where people could obtain information about topics such as: Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary that participates in aviation and ground search and rescues, mentors youth and provides disaster relief; and, ongoing town efforts to update its comprehensive plan as well as incorporate sustainable growth initiatives.
