Pendleton Heights High School varsity guard advanced to the semifinals and finals for the first time in school history at the recent 2024 Winter Guard International World Championships Open Class Finals in Dayton.
During preliminaries April 11 at Wright State University’s Nutter Center in Dayton, Pendleton Heights competed against 48 other groups in the open scholastic division. Pendleton scored 86.300 and advanced to semifinals.
The next day at Truist Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky, the Arabians competed against 31 groups and scored 86.500, earning 15th place and the final spot to advance to finals.
At the open class finals on April 13 at University of Dayton Arena, Pendleton Heights ended its season in 14th place, with a score of 83.700.
