Pendleton Heights Top 10%, Take 2

PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights High school recognizes the Top 10% of the year’s graduating class.

There are 33 students in that group for the Class of 2024.

The countdown started May 2 and continues this week with Nos. 25 through 18.

It will continue through several editions of The Times-Post.

25. Dylan Brown

Dylan Brown

Dylan Brown is currently ranked 25th with a grade-point average (GPA) of 12.1569. He is the son of Jeff and Darra Brown. He has participated in WEEM for three years, Beta Club for four years and band for one year. He plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to study business management and entrepreneurship. He will be at the John Wesley Honors College as well. He hopes to own his own business one day.

24. Cadence Betz

Caydence Betz

Caydence Betz is currently ranked 24th with a GPA of 12.1667. She is the daughter of Tracie Meeker and Casey Betz. She has participated in National Honor Society (NHS), Beta Club and soccer. She plans to attend Indiana University. She is going to major in exercise science on a pre-med track. She hopes to become a sports medicine physician.

 

 

23. Maren Beahm

Maren Beahm

Maren Beahm is currently ranked 23rd with a GPA of 12.2653. She is the daughter of Carrie and Drew Beahm. She has participated in cheerleading, Best Buddies, NHS, Beta Club and Unified Track. She plans to attend Purdue University to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering. She also plans on cheering for Purdue. She hopes to use her degree to design and create medical equipment like prosthetics and X-ray machines.

 

22. Gracie Wolf

Gracie Wolf

Gracie Wolf is currently ranked 22nd with a GPA of 12.2745. She is the daughter of Kathy Wolf. She has participated in WEEM for four years (including operations manager, programming director and a broadcaster), Pendleton Players for three years, NHS (junior and senior years) and Art Club (junior year). She plans to attend Ball State University and major in media production. Her goal is to become a television producer and a multimedia artist. She hopes to own her own production studio or work at Netflix.

21. Morgan Humble

Morgan Humble

Morgan Humble is currently ranked 21st with a GPA of 12.28. She is the daughter of Chad and April Humble. Morgan has participated in softball, NHS, Spanish National Honor Society, FCA, Beta Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Spanish Club and student council. She plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to play softball. She will be studying exercise science pre-athletic training and Spanish. Her goal is to obtain a position as an athletic trainer after pursuing her master’s degree.

20. Trinity Dubree

Trinity Dubree

Trinity Dubree is currently ranked 20th with a GPA of 12.3077. She is the daughter of Dustin and Edith Dubree. Trinity has participated in German Club, The Muse and Academic Fine Arts Team. She will be attending Ball State University and their Honors College. She plans to study biology with their pre-optometry path. After completing her undergraduate degree, she will utilize her time at Ball State to apply to take the Optometry Admission Test and hopes to be admitted to Indiana University Bloomington’s optometry program. She hopes to maintain a career as an optometrist. She plans to work in a small clinic diagnosing and treating patients. However, she may decide to return to school and further her education to become an ophthalmologist.

19. Audrey Jenkins

Audrey Jenkins

Audrey Jenkins is currently ranked 19th with a GPA of 12.3125. She is the daughter of David and Christine Jenkins. Audrey has participated in varsity golf, Beta Club, NHS, French Club, French National Honors Society, and SADD. She will be continuing her education at Indiana University Bloomington in the fall to study biology on a pre-optometry track. She hopes to become an optometrist following her future studies at IU.

18. Abigail Davidson

Abigail Davidson

Abigail Davidson is currently ranked 18th with a GPA of 12.3265. She is the daughter of Tim and Sharli Davidson. She has participated in four years of cross county, three years of Beta Club, four years of student council (two years as vice president), two years of NHS (one year as president), and one year of Spanish Nataional Honor Society. She plans to pursue a degree in secondary English and Spanish education at Indiana State University in its Honors College. She hopes to become a high school English and Spanish teacher.
