PENDLETON — Alvin D. Brown Memorial Pool, 591, E. Water St., opened for the season on Saturday.

The pool offers a variety of programs, including open swim, to swim lessons, twilight swimming and fitness swimming (18 and older).

General admission swimming in open noon to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

General admission swimming costs $6 per day. People 2 and younger and 65 and older are admitted free of charge.

Twilight admission swimming is open 5-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 4-6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Cost is $3 per day.

Fitness swimming (18 and older) is open 8-11 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Cost is $3 per day.

Swim lessons are available 10:30-11:30 a.m. or 7:15-8:15 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The cost is $50 per week for five lessons.

Season passes are available for $80 general admission, with special prices for four or more ($75 each), military/first responders ($50), Kids Connection/Swim Club ($50) and fitness swim ($50).

A punch card for six swims costs $30.

The pool is also available to rent for private parties at select times for a base rate charge of $150 (2 hours), with a charge of $15 per hour for the concession stand. The pool can be rented from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
