Pendleton Heights Class of 2024 graduates

PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights High Schools’ Class of 2024 celebrated graduation on Sunday, June 2 with friends and family at John Broughton Field beginning at 2 p.m.

The class of 2024 adopted a quote from Nelson Mandela as its class motto, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

Camille Yancey gave the Valedictorian address, Wes Kupferer delivered the Salutatorian address, Class President Bryant Davis gave the welcome speech, and class treasurer Jackson Sutton gave the closing remarks.

Principal Shaun Rose certified the class, and Superintendent Mark Hall accepted the class, while both handed out diplomas.

Cori Hunckler and Anne Plovick were class sponsors.

The commencement kicked off with a video presentation by Class Vice President Abigail Davidson and was followed by two musical performances. Rhys Weiandt sang “Perfect” and the Jazz Ensemble made up of Jasper Fadely, Qiao Angermeier, Carter Minderman, Alex Fuller and Kaiden Friesen played “Tenor Madness”.

Later on, Helen Wrin sang “Butterfly Fly Away” and Neleh Thompson sang “Landslide”.

The Pendleton Heights class of 1974 was recognized as well and was introduced by school board president Bill Hutton.
