Frieda Arlene (Clark) Teagardin, 99, Pendleton, died June 15, 2011 at Rawlins House, Pendleton. She was born Sept. 5, 1911 in Pendleton, and lived most of her life in Madison County.

She was a 1929 graduate of Pendleton High School. She was Executive Secretary at Pendleton High School for many years and at Community Hospital in Anderson where she was bookkeeper for the hospital drive and later secretary to the administrator for seven years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, past president of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority and Saturday Club in Pendleton. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Frieda was one of the founding council members of Job's Daughters of Pendelton and on the organization board of the Pendleton Historical Museum.

She is survived by her children, Ann (Don) Reighard and Tom (Jody) Teagardin; seven grandchildren, Denise Romine, Dee Ann (Dan) Gernand, Darci (David) French, Shae, Kaitlyn Teagardin and Quinci Coates; eight great grandchildren, Kaleigh and Dillon Romine, Lauren, Emily, and Jacob Gernand, Masen and Abigail Barker, and Camdin Teagardin; a sister, Phyllis Jarvis; a brother, Ronnie Clark and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Anna Clark; husband, Ban; two brothers, Gene and Darrell Clark; sister, Lorraine Burson; grandson, David Reighard and a great granddaughter, Amanda Linville.

Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson with Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery-Pendleton .

Visitation was from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the funeral home, south chapel; with a Sigma Phi Gamma Service at 7 p.m. and an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Historical Museum or Payton Manning-St. Vincent Childrens Hospital.
