Vickie J. Bennett, 61, Plainfield, died Monday, January 21, 2013, at her home following an extended illness. She was born on Feb. 7, 1951, in Anderson, to Leland and Betty (Jones) Stewart.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Terry Bennett; two sons, Tom (Jennifer) Bennett of Houston, Texas, and Tony (Tammy) Bennett of Wilmington, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Micala, Cade, Callie, and Madison; and several cousins including Bob Jones of Dallas, Texas, Rich Jones of Chicago, Ill., Dennis (Barbara) Rone of Ohio, and Sherry (Mike) of Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Mr. John Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
