Arabian girls soccer kicks off season in style

INDIANAPOLIS–It may have taken a half to get warmed up, but once they did, the Pendleton Heights girls’ soccer team took care of business.
Taylor Fort scored two goals and had an assist as the Arabians broke open a close game in the second half and opened their season with a 5-1 win at Indianapolis Pike.
After heading to halftime tied at one, the Arabians opened up their offense in the second half, scoring four times.
Claire Fendel and Anna Childers added a goal and an assist apiece while Helena Talbot scored once and Kate Cowger and Macy Browning each chipped in with an assist.
The junior varsity also picked up a win with a 6-0 decision over the Red Devils. Emma Romine scored three goals for the Arabians.
Pendleton Heights will play their home opener Saturday morning, with the junior varsity starting at 10 a.m. and the varsity to follow at 11:30 against University.
