LAPEL–The Lapel doubles teams showed their muscle Wednesday afternoon as the Bulldogs defeated Shenandoah 5-0.

The No. 1 doubles tandem of Zach Krebs and Ross Hagen blanked Jackson Goyette and Garrett Goyette 6-0, 6-0 while the No. 2 doubles team of Reid Ratzlaff and Dawson Allen enjoyed similar success with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Luke Waggener and Lance Holdren.

In singles play, No. 1 player Joseph Conrad defeated Seth Nation 6-1, 6-0 and No. 2 Jesse McCurdy routed Cory Evans 6-0, 6-1.

Both Conrad and McCurdy are 19-0 this season for Lapel (15-4).

Senior Austin Lyons dropped the first set of his No. 3 singles match, but stormed back to knock off Andrew Bennett 2-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-2.

Lapel will travel to Charlottesville for the Eastern Hancock Invitational Saturday.
