PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights High School recognizes its academic top 10 percent. These students currently rank 20th through 28th. The Times-Post will publish mini-biographies of the students across several weeks, leading up to No. 1 on the final week.

Olivia Bolinger is currently ranked No. 28 with a grade-point average of 11.6875. She is the daughter of Jason and Dusty Bolinger. Olivia is a member of National Beta Club, National Honor Society, French Club, girls soccer manager, tennis, student council and Pendleton Players tech crew. She also participates in Anchors Away. She plans to attend Taylor University to study marketing. Olivia would like to own a bakery.

Drew Wilson is currently ranked No. 27 with a GPA of 11.6939. He is the son of Tom and Kim Wilson. Drew is a member of National Honor Society, National Beta Club, French Club, National French Honor Society, tennis team, basketball team, Pendleton Players, International Thespian Honor Society, student council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and steering committee and serves as a student section leader. Drew also is a part of his church’s student leadership team and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society team and enjoys watching movies, working out, playing basketball and ping-pong. He plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to major in business. Drew is undecided on a specific type of job, just would like to be able to provide for his future family.

Chloe Kincade is currently ranked No. 26 with a GPA of 11.7143. She is the daughter of Christi and Jeff Kincade. Chloe is a member of Pendleton Players, International Thespian Honor Society (local chapter clerk0, Spanish Club (two years) and Emerald Suite (two years). She is also involved with South Madison Community Foundation. Chloe plans to attend Ball State University to major in chemistry and theater. She is currently undecided on a specific career.

Luke Drye is currently ranked No. 25 with a GPA of 11.7292. He is the son of David and Shannon Drye. Luke is a member of National Beta Club, Spanish Club, National Spanish Honor Society, basketball, football, cross country, track, student council and SADD. He was an athletic office assistant. He is active at Pendleton Christian Church as an Adventure Camp devotional leader, community night server and youth group counselor. Luke plans to attend Indiana University to major in finance and accounting through the Kelley School of Business. He hopes to become either a financial planner or a stock broker and one day own and manage a financial planning company.

Emma Yeary is currently ranked No. 24 with a GPA of 11.7551. She is the daughter of Jennifer Martin and Shaun and Natasha Yeary. Emma has been a member of National Beta Club (three years), French Club, National French Honor Society, Pendleton Players (two years), Theatre Tech Crew (two years) and the high school swim team. She also enjoys playing the piano, reading, music and lifeguarding at the pool. Emma plans to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to earn her bachelor’s degree in biology, then move into IUPUI’s dental program. She wants to become a family dentist.

Marleau McGinnis is currently ranked No. 23 with a GPA of 11.9412. She is the daughter of Jeff and Amy McGinnis. Marleau is a member of National Beta Club, National Honor Society, SADD, National German Honor Society, Spell Bowl, German American Partnership Program (GAPP) and the soccer team. She is also involved in Anchors Away. Marleau plans to attend Butler University to major in management information systems and minor in German. She would like to work for the CIA.

Carson Wright is currently tied in rank at No. 21 with a GPA of 12. He is the son of Amy and Delbert Wright. Carson is a member of National Honor Society, National Beta Club, French Club, Pendleton Heights High School Marching Arabians, Saxophone Choir, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Pep Band, Jazz Express and Jazz Combo. He is also a member of The Boy Scouts of America. Carson will attend Purdue University to study aerospace engineering. He hopes to obtain a job in either in the aeronautical or astronautical fields.

Broderick Schipp is currently tied in rank at No. 21 with a GPA of 12. He is the son of Robert and Starletta Schipp. Broderick is a member of National Honor Society, Pendletones Show Choir and Pendleton Players. He enjoys photography, music composition and film. Broderick plans to attend Purdue to major in mathematics with computer science. He wants to do something in software development.

Lauren Wheetley is currently ranked No. 20 with a GPA of 12.125. She is the daughter of Eric and Holly Wheetley. Lauren is a member of National Beta Club, National Honor Society, Arabian Allies, National German Honor Society, SADD, cross country, track and field, Unified Track, soccer, Pendleton Players and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Outside of school, she participates at Pendleton Christian Church as middle school youth leader and Preschool Sunday School teacher. She models, is a member of Anchors Away, and helps with fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Lauren plans to attend Indiana State University to major in business management. She hopes to become a management analyst that will utilize both her love for math and organization.
