MARION — The Lapel High School girls tennis team’s season came to an end Wednesday, May 23, when the Bulldogs took on Delta High School in the championship round of the Marion Regional.
Lapel lost 5-0 to Delta, the eventual semi-state winner.
The Bulldogs had earned their spot in the regional championship by beating Winchester Community 5-0 on Tuesday, May 22, in the opening round of regional play.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Pendleton Heights High School No.1 doubles pairing of Suzie Kramer and Claire Goodwin lost to New Palestine High School No. 1 doubles team of Josee King and Claire Cherry 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday, May 22, in the IHSAA individual tennis sectional at North Central.
The Dragons team played attacking doubles — returning serve consistently well with low drives and dominating the net exchanges with crisp volleys and overhead smashes.
The loss for the Arabians ended their season.
