PENDLETON — The Pendleton Heights High School Social Studies Academic Team recently earned the Conference Championship and Area Competition Champions contests.
The team took fifth place in the state tournament, for which the topic was World War I.
Team members included captain Jamison Bolinger, a junior, and sophomores Isabel Taylor, Abigail Jacobs, and Caleb McVey.
Tammy Webster, a Pendleton Heights High School social studies teacher and group sponsor and coach, said the group had a lot of fun while learning about the past.
With all members coming back next year, the expectations for the 2018-19 school year are high, Webster said.
