INDIANAPOLIS — The 16th annual Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/IHSAA Underclass Showcase events took place for the boys Monday, July 9, and for the girls Monday, July 16, at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.

The boys basketball summer camp included Jimmie Howell, Lapel High School head boys basketball coach, and Luke Richardson, Lapel High School basketball player.

Conducted by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association with support from the Indiana High School Athletic Association, the Underclass Showcase events were designed to give exposure to about 200 of the state’s top basketball prospects, about 100 boys and about 100 girls, to colleges nationwide.

The showcase events, open to the public, gave up-and-coming high school hoops players a chance to showcase their talent and skill as well as to learn from other players and coaches.

The agenda included a welcome and announcement, stretching and warm-ups, followed by three sessions of games throughout each day.
