Founded in October 2000, the Heroes Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in central Indiana, providing meaningful support to cancer patients, education to promote cancer prevention and resources to advance research for a cure.

On Saturday, July 28, the Heroes Foundation brought its Heroes Crit & Fit Day to Pendleton’s Falls Park for the first time.

Cyclists from the ages of 9 to 67 years old took part in the highly competitive Criterium. Hundreds of family members, friends and spectators cheered on the riders and took advantage of the Fit Day vendors offering cholesterol and mammography screenings, and information about cancer prevention; food vendors; a children’s play area; and beer garden.

We cannot begin to express our sincere thanks to the community of Pendleton for its warm welcome and embrace of our event.

In particular, we would like to acknowledge the following individuals for their assistance in the planning and execution of the day: Jessica Smith from the Pendleton Town Council; Ron Barnhart and Libby Brown from the Pendleton Parks Department; Kayla Hassett and Jeff Barger from the Town of Pendleton; and Jason Keller.

In addition, we truly appreciate the partnership we received from Missy Denny with The Stables, Clay Sexton of Greek’s Pizzeria of Anderson and Randy Good of Good’s Candy Shop of Anderson.

On behalf of the staff, board of directors and volunteers who serve the Heroes Foundation, we thank you for your attendance, participation and support. We look forward to seeing you again in 2019.

With sincere thanks,

Vince Todd Jr.

Chairman and co-founder of Heroes Foundation
