PENDLETON — Like the boys teams, Pendleton Heights’ and Lapel’s girls cross country teams turned in performances good enough to advance from the sectional.

The Arabians finished third, followed by the Bulldogs in fourth, in the Pendleton Heights sectional on Oct. 6.

Hamilton Heights placed first, followed by Fishers.

Arabians freshman Katie Jones finished 10th to lead Pendleton Heights.

Two more freshmen, Hailee Brunnemer and Laney Ricker were 14th and 15th, respectively. Freshman Catherine Dudley was 17th and sophomore Madison McKee 18th.

The Bulldogs also ran a tight pack led by seniors Noelle Loller (23rd) and Paige Rich (24th). Senior Lauran Smith was 26th, while senior Kara Lutz was 33rd, and freshman Lucy Loller was 34th.

The Delta Regional race begins at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Muncie Sports Complex.
